Meet Dr. Andrea SeifferttMedical Director of the Center for Sustainable Medicine

Dr. Andrea is an Osteopathic physician, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Counselor, and Meditation teacher. She studied Environmental Science at The College of William and Mary in Virginia, and graduated with a bachelors of science in Biology in the class of 2000. She graduated KCUMB-COM with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2005, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at UTMB-Galveston 2008.

In 2011 she completed New World Ayurveda’s Practitioner and Ayurvedic Counseling courses. She worked as an admitting physician at SYVCH and in a private practice in Solvang, CA until starting her own private practice here in Santa Barbara in May 2011.

Dr. Andrea has volunteered with Humanity First, traveling with them to Haiti twice to participate in the medical relief work after the 2010 earthquake. She has volunteered with United Boys and Girls Club here in Santa Barbara, and loves being a co-host on Santa Barbara Teen Sports Radio. She teaches meditation for free to teens, children, and adults.

Her long-term goal is to help infuse the western medical paradigm with true holistic healing for people and the planet using her Sustainable Health philosophy. She loves teaching, writing, and serving in private practice, and always loves new opportunities to speak, write, and volunteer.
